WHAT? Lori Lightfoot Moves to ‘Permanently Ban’ Liquor Sales After 10PM in Chicago
Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is now proposing a new plan that “permanently” bans the sale of packaged liquor after 10PM in the Windy City as part of a “pandemic relief package.”
“Lightfoot says selling liquor at stores after 10 p.m. is a public safety issue. On Wednesday, she presented a 94-page ordinance to the City Council that aldermen blocked,” reports Fox Chicago.
“Acknowledging the real quality of life issues that sometimes creep up with these businesses,” said Lightfoot. “Loitering and you have other illegal activity that happens around them.”
