Report: Trump Allies Explore Buyout of OANN to Compete Against Fox News

Wouldn’t you love it of OANN could be a legit competitor against Fox News?
Well, that actually might happen…sooner than you think, even.
Right now a group of pro-Trump allies are exploring the option of buying OANN and turning it into a direct competitor of Fox News.
That means OANN would be available on all cable networks and would be a true “Amerca First” conservative network.
I’ll tell you, if that ever happens, OANN would be the hottest thing since sliced bread.
The investment firm Hicks Equity Partners is looking to acquire the channel and is pitching other wealthy GOP donors to arrange a bid of roughly $250 million for the channel’s parent company, the people said. The firm is owned by the family of Thomas Hicks Jr., co-chairman of the Republican National Committee and a close friend of Donald Trump Jr.
The efforts come as Mr. Trump has repeatedly rebuked Fox News for being too critical—despite its opinion-show hosts’ general support of his administration—and has praised One America News Network. The channel’s opinion programming is known among its cable-news peers for its praise of Donald Trump and its advocacy for conservative causes. [Wall St Journal]
Actually, President Trump has been the one to give OANN a big boost.
As far back as August, President Trump was promoting OANN over Fox News.

As you probably already know, Fox News has been taking a giant left turn as of late and is pushing a lot of globalist issues and anti-Trump nonsense from buffoons like Chris Wallace and clueless Judge Nap.
I’ve stopped watching Fox News after being a literal “junkie” who had it on in my house 24 hours a day. So, if they do buyout OANN and dress it up as a Fox competitor and make it convenient to watch I’ll definitely tune in.
