Never date a woman with a Samari Sword!

NEW LONDON,Conn.— A New London woman was ordered held in lieu of $10,000 cash bail after she allegedly attacked a house quest with a samurai sword.

New London police said Jaunita Bently, 51, was entertaining a man in her home, and when the two began to argue she ordered him out of the house. The victim told police he apparently didn't move fast enough for Bently and she grabbed a decorative samurai sword hanging on a wall and slashed the victim across the back.

The victim was treated for lacerations to the back and arms at a local hospital. Bently was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree breach of peace, and ordered held in lieu of $10,000 cash bail pending a Monday arraignment.
